Urinary incontinence can feel terribly embarrassing. The primary cause of this issue is the weakening of pelvic floor muscles over time and especially after childbirth or menopause. The main function of your pelvic floor muscles is to support your bladder and the other organs located above your pelvic shelf. What is Emsella®?

EMsella® is a device that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) to stimulate the pelvic muscles for an effect thousands of times more potent than any kegel workout. Based on the same principle as EMsculpt for abdominal and glute toning, EMsella can give you stronger, more supportive pelvic muscles fast without pain or effort on your part. It also increases blood flow and sensitivity to the genital area. This procedure is simple and the results can help you regain urinary control and improve sexual satisfaction.

What Does This Treatment Address?

This muscle contracting treatment is primarily used to address urinary incontinence and similar vaginal health concerns. The need for pelvic floor maintenance increases, especially after menopause. While traditional methods such as exercise can be laborious and time-consuming, the EMsella treatment can give you long-lasting results fast.

How Do EMsella Treatments Work?

Treatment with this device couldn’t be simpler. When you visit our practice, you’ll be asked to sit in the EMsella “throne” and relax. There is no invasive procedure or pre-procedure preparation necessary. As the device goes to work, you are welcome to read a book or meditate. One BTL EMsella session is 28 minutes long and is equivalent to 12,000 Kegels. For optimal results, we recommend six treatment sessions, with two treatments a week. Then, we recommend having one maintenance treatment every 3-4 months or as needed.
